insightdock::charts::CartesianOptions

Axis labels and scale behavior for Cartesian charts.

Synopsis

Declared in <insightdock/cartesian_chart.h>
struct CartesianOptions;

Enums

Name Description
XLabelMode How x-axis category labels are fitted when they are wider than their slot.

Data Members

Name Description
begin_at_zero Force y-axis minimum to 0 when data are non-negative.
custom_x_formatter Custom continuous x-axis tick formatter. Receives the original Unix timestamp; the default is UTC YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM. Use this callback for another date format or timezone. Category labels are supplied through set_categories() and are not passed to this formatter.
custom_y2_formatter Custom secondary y-axis tick formatter; overrides y2_tick_format when non-null.
custom_y_formatter Custom y-axis tick formatter.
max_x_labels Maximum number of x-axis category labels to render.
max_y_labels Maximum number of y-axis tick labels to render.
min_y_labels Minimum number of y-axis tick labels to render.
reference_bands Shaded threshold bands drawn behind the chart's own series.
reference_lines Threshold/annotation lines drawn behind the chart's own series.
x_axis_label Label below the x-axis (optional).
x_label_mode Layout strategy for category labels on the x-axis (vertical orientation only).
x_scale_type X-axis interpolation mode: ScaleType::Linear (default, evenly-spaced categories) or ScaleType::DateTime (continuous domain positioned by real value, via CartesianChart::set_x_values). Only honored by chart types that override CartesianChart::supports_continuous_x_axis (LineChart, AreaChart) — ignored (falls back to category mode) on BarChart/ComboChart, whose fixed-width bar-per-category layout doesn't have a well-defined meaning for irregularly-spaced continuous positions.
y2_axis_label Label beside the secondary (right) y-axis, if enabled (optional).
y2_tick_format Built-in tick label format for the secondary y-axis.
y_axis_label Label beside the y-axis (optional).
y_scale_type Primary (left) y-axis interpolation mode: ScaleType::Linear (default) or ScaleType::Log. ScaleType::DateTime is not meaningful for a value axis. Log scale clamps non-positive data to a small positive floor (see Scale::log_nice) — suited to network traffic, latency, or financial data spanning multiple orders of magnitude. CartesianOptions::begin_at_zero is ignored when this is Log (a log domain can't include zero). The secondary (right) y-axis is Linear-only in v1.
y_tick_format Built-in tick label format (used when custom_y_formatter is null).
