How y-axis tick values are formatted as label strings.

Raw | Automatic precision; preserves fractions and uses scientific notation as needed. |
SI | SI prefixes: 1 500 000 → "1.5M", 2 300 → "2.3K". |
Currency | Two decimal places with a leading $: "1234.56" → "$1234.56". |
Percent | One decimal place with a trailing %: "42.5" → "42.5%". |
DateTime | Unix timestamp → YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM in UTC. |
Set CartesianOptions::y_tick_format to one of these values, or supply a CartesianOptions::custom_y_formatter callback for full control.
